Creating intricate quilt tops is what I do.  Ordering is as easy as sending an email.  Your unique quilt top will be created, and sent to you, ready for quilting. 

You'll notice that I specialize in New York Beauty and Lone Star patterns.  All of my items are sold as quilt tops or block sets only. All tops are machine pieced of commercially printed 100% cotton fabrics.  Do stop by often, as I keep adding new designs. 

Do you quilt and bind by request?

No;  my strength is in the piecing process, not the quilting process.  There are many fine hand and machine quilters available to do the quilting for you if you don't wish to quilt the item yourself.

Do you hand piece or machine piece?

All quilt tops are machine pieced. 

Do you applique?

No, applique is definitely not one of my talents!

Can you complete a piece in time for a deadline?

I realize that from time to time everyone faces a looming deadline, so if you need a piece by a certain date, please let me know when you place your order so that I can do my best to finish on time! 

Do you pre-wash fabrics?

 If requested, fabrics can be pre-washed using Synthrapol soap, however, I do not normally prewash. 

How much do you charge?

Pricing for custom orders (including fabric) is from 3.5 cents per square inch and varies depending on the complexity of the pattern and size of the item.  Prices for standard pattern sizes are listed on the sample pages.  Shipping costs are extra, and are based on the carrier, and the size and weight of the parcel.

Can you use fabrics that I provide?

Yes, definitely.  Please contact me so that we can discuss fabric requirements and reduced pricing. 

What are standard quilt sizes?

Please use this table as a general guideline.  Quilt sizes may vary somewhat due to block sizing.

How can I pay for my quilt top?

All of my prices are in Canadian dollars.  I accept payment by MasterCard and Visa through Paypal, but please contact me before you purchase by email at maggie@patchmaker.ca

How will you ship my quilt top?

I ship by Canada Post, and shipping charges may be an extra charge, and are based on the size and weight of your item.
