A Throwback to Spring

And so its Spring in the Annapolis Valley . . . . I took this the other morning from the former railway bridge, now part of the Trans Canada Trail.

And the Apple Blossoms are out in full bloom too -

For Throwback Thursday this week, we have a butterfly!  (You thought I forgot again, didn't you!)

You could go very traditional with this one:

Or rather Modern:

Or give it some some other blocks to play with:

Whatever you do, I'd definitely advise auditioning colors choices; it make a huge difference.

Good Thursday Morning, All!

For Throwback Thursday this week, and since we're heading into (yet another) Nor'easter here, I though some spring tulips might be in order.  Here's the block:

This isn't exactly a Throwback Block, as I designed this one myself using EQ7, but I'm absolutely sure its not an original.  On the rare occasions that I actually applique, I prefer simple shapes - because I'm just not that good at it!  This is a 9" block, and it would be the perfect project to tackle my mountain of scraps, so . . . . . maybe.

Time is Getting Short

Happy Monday Morning!  Time before my move is getting short - just over a week now.  The chaos is increasing, the sorting is happening, and my body is reminding me  that even though I may think I'm a teenager, in truth I have been on this planet a while, and moving is hard work.  My Ebay listings are all finished until my new studio is up and running.  And my fabrics are all packed away.

Welcome!

I did it!  If you're reading this, the new website it LIVE!  And undoubtedly full of bugs, quirks, issues, and oopses.  But bear with me, I'm all over that!  And My Goodness they have large blog pictures!

Have a great week.

Maggie
